EVERYDAY PEOPLE

Hey There CHICsters,

"See I am everydayyyy people" *singing* . Do you remember that song People Everyday by the group Arrested Development? (yess i'm showing my age) LOL. For some reason this song has been stuck in my head all day. It's Thursday, & although I have thus far survived Spring Break with the kids I am overit.com !!!! We've been on the go alllll week, movies, sports, park trips, & a million dental & doctor visits for check-ups. Mommy is tired! I'm literally counting down until next Monday morning lol... 

Anyways, enough of my ranting ;-) Today's look is super casual because that's how I roll when I'm with the little ones. 

A simple white V-neck, Skinny ankle length jeans, my catch-all Kate Spade bag that's filled with random necessities from lip gloss & hand sanitizer, to a few zip lock bags of snacks for my always seemingly famished clan. 

This weather is so crazy these days so even though I'm wearing a tee, I always bring along a sweater, or button down shirt for any sudden temperature drops. 

My cat eyed Sunnies & my fave Sam Edelman silver brogues top off the look for today's adventures.

IN THE NUDE



Hey there CHICsters,

Hope everyone is enjoying this weekend. The weather here has been so bipolar in Atlanta that one day you can go out with a tee and jeans, the next you need a turtleneck and a fur coat. I don't understand it at all!!! Nonetheless, yesterday was in the 70's here so I took full advantage of it :-)

Is it me or has this been like the longest week everrrr. It always feels that way after you've been on vacation I guess *shrugs*. I've been playing catch up all week running from meetings, to testing sample pieces for the online store (coming soon), to keeping up with the events of my 10 kids LOL ...or so it seemed. All of this while still under the weather and trying to get rid of this fever UGHHH. 

Nonetheless, I don't believe in looking sick even if I am ...

Found this Member's Only jacket at a local thrift store here in Atlanta and snatched it up. It reminds me of when I was a little girl and I had a crush on one of my big brother's friend who had one of these jackets. He was soooo cool...and I was a lil brat in glasses...and a glasses cord *side eye* . LOL all you want, I loved those eye glass cords #Nerd hahaha

Paired the vintage treasure with chocolate over the knee boots, and my trusty Gucci hobo (had it for years) but similar style HERE

I love these chocolate boots, I have them in black as well. Random fact about me, if I LOVE something, I get two of it HA!

The tee was purchased in NYC over the summer from ZARA. Threw on a pair of skinny jeans...as you know I prefer the fit of Joe's Jeans but any pair that fits you well in a medium wash would work the same.

That's it....Hope you all enjoy your weekend and I'm going to try to get as much rest as possible.

MINNIE DREAMIN'

Have I ever told you all about my infatuation with Minnie Mouse? I love her!! LOL. Ever since I was a kid, she is the one character, other than Kermit the Frog, that I've adored through the ages. Back in my dorm room days, I had Minnie stuff all over my room, which was probably quite annoying to my chain-smoking Goth roommate *side eye*. I had the bedspread, a lamp, sock etc.. Desperately trying to hold on to my childhood you think? LOL.
Well let"s fast forward to me finding this sweatshirt buried deep in my drawer purchased from Forever21 last fall. Love at first sight of course DUH!! There was a lil chill in the air in the morning, and I din't feel like wearing a blazer or anything to stuffy for a casual meeting with a client so there's that. Not only did this sweatshirt keep me in a great mood all day, but it was the best conversation starter. Who knew so many adults still loved this super girly mouse?

ROCK N ROLL

Hola CHICsters *waves* I'm so excited to share with you my latest CHIC Find, these FAB "Valentino Rockstudish" pumps that I got from the clearance rack at JC Penney. Pumps from the Valentino Rockstud line ranges from these HERE for $795  to as much as these HERE for $1075 *side eye*, I don't know about you all but the way my account is set up... LOL. I'm all for looking CHIC and well put together, but if I can get the look for less, I'm all for it! 

Pairing my awesome EMILIA Pumps (that will be in heavy rotation) with white jeans, a printed tee, denim moto vest, and a black fringe bag gave me a Rock n Roll , biker chic look.

As soon as I saw this "It Girl" tee I knew it would be perfect for the upcoming seasons.

I actually found this moto vest while Goodwill Hunting!! Chic Find indeed!

I love the fit of Joe's Jeans. Sometimes it get's difficult trying to find the right jeans for my body type. Being curvy has it's pros and cons, the pros are evident :-) the cons are some designers don't make a fit for us. Either there isn't enough give or stretch in the fabric, or the rise is just too low. That plumber crack that I see far too many women have when they sit is just NOT a good look. Proper fit is key!

Closer look at my babies. Love the contrast of the tan trim against the black patent leather finish.

Little fact about me, I'm one of those people that don't follow seasonal color rules. The color white is just so refreshing that I wear it all year long. You should try it :-)

I actually bought this fringe handbag from a SoHo boutique last summer while visiting my family in New York City. It came with a long strap that you can wear as a crossbody, but I prefer it without. Looks edgier and more chic with just the short strap.
